The central idea about this unit of inquiry is:

People use a variety of stories for different purposes.

Key Concepts: Form, Function, Causation

Lines of inquiry:
– Stories consist of different parts
– Different stories have different purposes
– Stories can be communicated in a variety of ways

One way to appreciate stories is online. These stories are from around the world. They are interactive!

Many traditional stories have been rewritten in different countries and reflect the culture of that country.

One example is the story of Cinderella.

See how many different versions of Cinderella you can find.
